The Point, at Evies on Spanish Point is adjacent to the Tiki Hut ?.
I'd say a little more upscale ? but still Florida casual ? Tonight the bar upstairs was closed, but the restaurant on the second floor has a bar ? ?. Menu goes from soups ? to full meals. I thought the fried Calamari was great ? ? They have both indoor and outdoor seating ? Elevator ? available to second and third floor.

Beautiful view from inside the restaurant and at the tiki bar. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the food wasn't good. I ordered the grouper sandwich, hold the bread. It was the smallest piece of grouper I've ever seen and it was extremely dry and cold by the time it was served. Thankfully the fries were tasty and plentiful so I filled up on those.

We have eaten at The Point 3 times recently and the food has been amazing each time. This past Sunday, we went again and Christian was our server and he is the best server we have ever had there. We will definitely be asking for him every time!

My wife and I just had our first experience at The Point during the Taste of Sarasota. My wife had the shrimp cocktail starter and crabcake meal. I had the Mahi bites starter and the fish and chips meal. What an excellent first experience. Our server Bella was the sweetest, as were all of the staff. This is a must try whether here for the Taste of Sarasota or just coming for an excellent meal, service, and atmosphere.

I cannot say enough great things about the event (baby shower) we had downstairs at The Point. Event planner, Nicole, is absolutely wonderful and she took so much stress off as she helped me plan the day. The food was excellent (sliders, chicken tenders, fruit plate, pinwheels, etc). The shade and yard out front made it great for adults to hang out and kids to run around. Again, Nicole and her team were excellent and I would highly recommend having any event here! Added bonus: water views are perfect!

The new Thursday Ladies Night can’t be beat! You are greeted with a glass of free champagne and then you choose from a great menu of specials that run 5pm-9pm. My friend went last week and brought me and her mom this week. Her fellow friend that was with her last week returned as well bringing out of town guests. Service was great, appetizers were tasty and very generous for the price point. There might only be 4 $5 drinks on the menu but they didn’t skimp in alcohol and tasted fantastic! The new, sweet chef greeted us and checked on our table multiple times. You can tell they want to make this a success! Kudos to them!!

I came here for dinner with a few people for dinner during the week. We were able to get a table right away by the window inside. The views are pretty but it does get hot and the sun gets on your eyes at sunset. I wish they had blinds or something to block the sun so it makes sitting by the window more enjoyable. I started off with the Espresso Martini but didn’t care for the taste (might have been the simple syrup). I also ordered the blackened Snapper and wasn’t disappointed. The Blueberry Vodkito was refreshing and more enjoyable than the Espresso Martini. Dinner ended with a slice of key lime pie, which was the perfect combination of tart and sweet. The waitress was very nice.

My family of 28 came from out of state for my sisters wedding.

I was looking for somewhere large enough for reservations and could help me pull off a surprise sunset dinner/reception for my Sister and Brother-in-Law. Teresa went above and beyond for us. They even allowed us to store the cake for the day. The bride and groom were served a complimentary glass of champagne to toast too as well as the Love Sign out out for photo opportunities.

The scenery around this restaurant is absolutely breathtaking. I would highly recommend 3rd floor seating and go during the sunset hours.

The food was amazing and very affordable as well as the variety (kids menu as well)

The staff was very attentive and very well mannered. No complaints.

Bonus points- They had a fishing event for childhood cancer going on the same day. I commend them for helping raise funds for childhood cancer and families and any business that can dedicate that kind of time and effort into something so meaningful is every reason to support them.
